Work-In-Progress

When I start a painting I don't always like how they progress unless I keep working at it. I begin to see the qualities I like as I put more work into it. For example, I like this piece because of the texture, but this piece didn't start out that way.

I am not happy with this piece, yet. I hope to continue with the detail work and color experiment in this portrait. Sometimes the best things for me as an artist is to just keep working.
